COVID-19 vaccine 'Winter booster' dose
Commencing April 1st, ATAGI recommended certain groups of the Australian population receive an additonal 'booster dose' (ie. 4th dose - or 5th, if you are severely immunocompromised and received 3 doses as your 'primary course') at least 4 months following your first booster dose. These population groups are considered to be at the greatest risk of severe illness, and include:
- 65 yrs +
- 16 yrs + & severely immunocompromised
- Aged care / disability care residents
- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people
Updated advice from 25/05/2022
